BONHAM, Tex. (KXII) - A Bonham man has been indicted for the murder of his father.
Deputies say Timothy Nichols, 41, got into an argument with his father, Alvin Nichols, 64, in October.
They say the argument started when Alvin insulted Timothy's wife, so Timothy shot Alvin in the leg with a handgun.
Alvin was taken to a local hospital and died four days later.
If convicted, Nichols faces up to life in prison.
