BONHAM, Tex. (KXII) - Fannin County reported its second COVID-19 death Monday morning, a 76-year-old Trenton man.
County Health Official Dr. James Froelich said the case was first reported April 30, and the man died May 11.
Fannin County reported its first COVID-19 death May 6, a 78-year-old from the Ladonia area.
Froelich also said targeted tested was conducted last week at the Fannin County Jail after an inmate tested positive for COVID-19. Testing at both the Buster Cole State Jail and the Choice Moore State Prison have been ongoing, he added.
According to the most recent numbers available, there are 29 cases of COVID-19 in Fannin County, with at least 14 patients fully recovered.
