Federal agents raid Texoma doctor's two offices

SHERMAN, PARIS, Texas (KXII) -- Federal agents served a search warrant on Friday at an area doctor's offices in Sherman and Paris.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents and the FBI raided the Diamondback Pain and Wellness centers in Sherman and Paris on Friday.

A DEA spokesperson tells us agents took records from both of Dr. Howard Gregg Diamond's offices.

"I got here there was DEA, Texas police officers, Texas Rangers, I mean they were just swarming this place."

According to the Texas Medical Board, this is the second time the feds have investigated Diamond and his offices for failing to maintain sufficient medical records on patients.

Records show that in 2015, he was ordered to complete a records keeping course and pay $500.

In a Facebook post to patients last month, Dr. Diamond addressed problems he had with local pharmacies refusing to fill prescriptions.

"I've been going here for years, even when they were in another building over here on another street. That's how long I've been coming here, for years."

One of Dr. Diamond's patients, Mickey Aplin, tells us he's worried for his health without his prescriptions.

"My concern now is I'm without a doctor. I'm without my medication. That takes my whole livelihood away."

The DEA says they haven't filed any arrest warrants for Dr. Diamond and were unable to say if they would in the future.

"This is devastating, I don't know what I'm going to do."

It is unknown if either office will reopen next week.

Diamond has yet to return phone calls.

A telephone call was placed to the home phone number listed for Diamond, and that call has yet to be returned, also.
