Firefighter injured battling Pushmataha Co. wildfire

ANTLERS, Okla. (KXII) - A firefighter from Antlers had to be flown to a hospital in Dallas to treat burns he suffered while on the job last week.

A representative from Antlers Fire Department says Tanner Wilson, who works for the Oklahoma Forestry Services, was in a side by side trying to put out a fire about 20 miles northeast of Antlers Sept. 12 when he got trapped and surrounded by the fire.

Wilson suffered second and third degree burns to 30 percent of his body, with most damage to his hands.

We're told Wilson is expected to be okay.
