Firemen rescue driver stuck in high water on Bryan Co. bridge

BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - Firemen said a woman had to be rescued after driving into high water in Bryan County Sunday night.

The Philadelphia Volunteer Fire Department said a woman got stuck on Blue River Bridge on Old Highway 70 south of Blue.

They said she was stranded for around 30 minutes until fire crews used chains to pull her car through the water.

Firemen said to avoid Old Highway east of the bridge for the next few days until the water recedes.

County workers put barricades up after the rescue.
