CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - The Carter County Sheriff's Office arrests five people for a string of auto burglaries.

Sheriff Chris Bryant says they arrested Mikhael McDonald, Ishmael Raymond-Brown, Nikolus Fielding and Dakota Boggs earlier this week.

One other man believed to be connected is already being held at the Murray county jail.

Bryant says the group targeted over a dozen cars - most unlocked - stealing thousands of dollars in items, including guns and laptops.

He says they identified the thieves through home security surveillance footage.

"Without their help we wouldn't be able to solve this .and that's what it's about - it's about community involvement and helping out the law enforcement so that we can obtain and get people like this off the streets," Bryant said.

All were booked in on several charges including possessing stolen property.
