"For the Kids" toy run raises $30,000 for Salvation Army

A toy drive over the weekend raised thousands of dollars for the Salvation Army.

The 25th annual "For the Kids" toy run Sunday raised $30,000.

That money will help the Salvation Army provide for local families.

Event organizer Ro Bentley says she hopes the money will help people for the holidays.

"It's going to go to a lot of people that are in need, and we just want them to know in their hearts that there's always something good that's going to come along," said Bentley.
