STRINGTOWN, Okla. (KXII) - A woman who worked at the Mack Alford Correctional Center in Stringtown has been arrested for multiple charges.

Trina Welch, a former food service specialist at Mack Alford, is charged with second degree rape, forcible sodomy, accepting a bribe and bringing contraband into a penal institution.

The Office of Fugitive Apprehension and Investigations began an investigation in Jan 2018 into Welch for suspicion of an inappropriate relationship between her and an inmate.

Court records say Welch denied any sexual contact, saying she had been slapped by an inmate after he made romantic advances.

She later admitted to oral sex with the inmate, as well as sexual intercourse with another.

Records say Welch was seen providing marijuana, tobacco and other drugs to the inmate for payment.

If convicted, Welch faces up to 20 years in prison.
