Former Van Alstyne youth minister is indicted on account of sex crimes

GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KXII) A former Van Alstyne youth minister accused of child sex crimes has been indicted. Timothy Urban was arrested in August for six counts of sexual assault. A complaint alleges Urban the former youth director at the First United Methodist church of Van Alstyne began flirting with a 16-year-old girl in 2015. It says that escalated to sexual assault that usually took place in the church or a car for a period of about a year. The victim went to police in July and turned over hundreds of videos, photos and texts. Urban is still being held in the Grayson County jail.
