Ft. Worth man guilty of Denison, Gainesville credit union robberies

PLANO, Tex. (KXII) - A Fort Worth man has been convicted of robbing three Texas banks last year, two here in Texoma.

A jury found Wayne Alan Watson, 58, guilty of three counts of armed bank robbery Thursday in U.S. District Court in Plano.

Watson robbed three credit unions at gunpoint last year, including the City Credit Union in Gainesville, and the Texoma Educators Federal Credit Union in Denison.

Investigators found the vehicle used in two of the robberies at Watson's home, as well as clothing he wore in each of the robberies.

Watson faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison for each charge at sentencing.
