Grayson County Pride 2020 postponed due to COVID-19

GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) - Grayson County Pride announced Pride 2020 has been postponed until further notice.

Organizers said the decision comes after speaking with local health officials, and following the lead of bigger cities in canceling large events, to try and help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Vice President and Co-Founder of Grayson Pride Codi Miller said it's been difficult, because not everyone is onboard with the choice to postpone the event.

"So that's the most difficult part, we have tried really hard to stay active on social media and just let people know that we are still here for you," Miller said. "We can still provide that support, even though we're not having the public events."

June 20 would have been Grayson County's second annual Pride event, and the organization's first official event as a non-profit.
