Grayson County confirms first positive case of COVID-19

GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) - Grayson County officials have confirmed the county's first positive case of COVID-19.

The Grayson County Health Department says the patient is a person in their 40s who recently traveled.

Anyone who was in close contact with the individual will be contacted by the Grayson County Health Department.

The patient is in isolation at home.

The health department says it will continue to monitor and investigate COVID-19 in Grayson County.

This is the fifth confirmed case of COVID-19 in Texoma. There are two confirmed in Garvin County, one in Fannin County and one in Lamar County.

Anyone who has traveled recently to an area with an ongoing spread of COVID-19 or had contact with a patient and developed symptoms is asked to call their healthcare provider.
