Grayson County under emergency burn ban

GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) -- A burn ban has gone into effect in Grayson County after the county's judge signed a declaration of disaster Friday morning.

The purpose of the ban is implementing controls aimed at mitigating the hazard posed by wildfires during the emergency burn.

The burn ban will be in effect for seven days or until the Commissioners Court continues a burn ban next Tuesday during their regular meeting.
