Victim identified in deadly Roosevelt Bridge wreck
U.S Highway 70 and the Roosevelt Bridge has reopened following a deadly accident at the Marshall and Bryan County line Saturday afternoon.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened around 4:30 p.m.
According to witnesses at the scene, a Jeep had just passed a pickup truck on the shoulder heading westbound when the two collided, sending the Jeep into the eastbound lane where it struck a Rent A Center truck head-on.
The driver of the Rent A Center truck, 38-year-old Durant resident Jeremy Scott Alexander, died at the scene.
Alexander's passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
We're told Durant resident Nam Ky Duong was the driver of the Jeep. He and his passsenger Thuy Thang Nguyen were also taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No one in the pickup was injured.
