ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - A Carter County woman and her husband are back after making three trips to deliver hay to animals affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Connie Phillips says she asked the community for donations to help purchase hay for live stock animals who were affected from hurricane Harvey after flood waters and debris contaminated their food.
With the community's help Phillips says she donated over 300 bales of hay.
Phillips spoke with News 12 before she left for South East Texas last week.
"It has just been fantastic. We have gotten more than we thought we would, I was hoping for one truck, we are up to three full trucks now," Phillips said.
Phillips is planning on making another trip back to Texas and right now they are in need of donations for the cost of fuel for their travels.
