Inmates start fire at Grayson County Jail

SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) -- Officers said around 5 p.m. Sunday, inmates started a fire on the second floor of the Grayson County Jail.

It was quickly put out and no one was hurt. Investigators are trying to figure out how the fire started.

"There was response by sheriffs office units and by Sherman Police Department to sure they can vacate the area and we can do what we need," Grayson County Capt. Sarah Bigham said.

The names of the inmates responsible for lighting the blaze haven't been released.
