Johnston County FAA collects donations for fire victims

TISHIMINGO, Okla. (KXII) - Members of the Mill Creek and Milburn FAA are gathering donations to send up north to the victims of the recent wildfires.

The two organizations are asking for the community to drop off different items from feed for the animals to water and toiletries for the firefighters and victims.

The members of FAA have set up trailers at the Southern Select Feeds store in Tishimingo where people can drop off their donations.

The crew says they will accept donations until Thursday, when they will head out to deliver the supplies.

"I've lived on a ranch and worked on a ranch so I know the needs that they have and I know how important the livestock is to all of them," Mill Creek's Taft Maness said.

"Just to help the farmers and ranchers out there get back up on their feet," Milburn's Marissa Phillips said, "They lost everything."

You can also donate monetary donations at any Landmark Bank, just ask to deposit into the Johnston County Cattleman's Association account.
