SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - KXII News 12, the #1 station in Texoma, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jen Phillips to evening anchor.

Phillips previously served as KXII’s weekend news anchor and reporter. Prior to that, she began her career as anchor and reporter at the station’s bureau in Paris, Texas.

“I am very excited to begin this new chapter and be part of a legacy leadership team that tells the right stories about Texoma,” Phillips said. “I can’t wait to get started.”

With a knack for in-depth reporting as well as memorable feature stories, Jen has quickly become a favorite with viewers as well as her colleagues in the newsroom.

“Jen has made a lasting impression with our viewers in her time at News 12. No matter the story, her approach is professional, tenacious, and compassionate,” station news director Matt Griffin said. “We are pleased to showcase her talents to our viewers for many years to come.”

“She has been in the trenches with our viewers, and she knows what they want,” Dean said. “Her experience will be invaluable to viewers all across our coverage area. “

Phillips, a University of North Texas alumna, will anchor Texoma’s top-rated weeknight newscasts, News 12 at 5, 6, & 10 p.m. alongside News 12 anchor and managing editor Dan Thomas.
