FAUGHT, Tex. (KXII) -- A Lamar county firefighter on the other side of things early Saturday morning when his house caught fire.

Tyler Browning is a Paris Paramedic and Faught volunteer fire captain and awoke early Saturday morning to find his stepdaughter's room on fire.

He says he was able to get everyone, including the family dog, out of the house and actually fought the fire alongside his father with one of the department's engines.

The house is unlivable, due to smoke and water damage.

A go fund me has been set up to help the family.
