Leonard students write 'threatening list' at high school

LEONARD, Tex. (KXII) -- A Texoma high school is investigating into what prompted two students to write what administration is calling a 'kill list' last week.

Brad Maxwell, Superintendent for Leonard Schools, says a student reported seeing a threatening list last Wednesday, with the names of teachers and students on it.

Maxwell says two students were found to be responsible for making the list that day and were immediately detained and questioned.

According to Maxwell, the students claimed the list was made as a joke but he says the district is taking the situation seriously and they will be disciplined.

No word yet on a formal punishment.
