Local departments taking part in DEA drug take back day

The bi-annual Drug Enforcement Agency's Take Back Day is Saturday, Oct. 27 and several Texoma police departments are designated as drop off points.

The campaign is a government effort to cut down on prescription drug abuse nationwide. The service is offered free of charge with no questions asked.

Those looking to dispose of unused prescription medication can visit one of four DEA take back locations in the area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
