Fannin County organization raffling off playhouses as part of fundraiser

BONHAM, Tex. (KXII) -- The Fannin County Family Crisis Center is now selling raffle tickets for their annual fundraiser, the 'Playhouse Project'.

Each year, a few groups donate their time and money to build some playhouses for the Family Crisis Center to raffle off close to the holidays.

County drug court members, members of the Bonham Fire Department and the Danny Edwards family out of Ector all pitched in this time around to keep the tradition alive.

We're told all raffle ticket sales go towards keeping the Family Crisis Center running. The organization's mission is, "to receive, comfort, counsel and support individuals and their families who find themselves in conflict due to emotional, physical abuse or sexual assault."

"The money is for an excellent cause. People look forward to it every year," said Tammy Biggar, a board member. "It's really fun when people win - either if they're there when they pull the ticket or if they get the phone call that, 'hey, you won', it's really exciting."

The drawings will be held on December 20th. Raffle tickets are $3 a piece or two for $5.

Call (903)-583-7694 or head to the Family Crisis Center at 118 East Sam Rayburn Drive in Bonham if you're interested in buying some.
