Madill crash disrupts News 12 broadcast

MADILL, Okla. (KXII) - Early Monday morning a semi truck went off the road on 377 in Madill and struck a pole.

The accident knocked out the signal from the News 12 transmitter, cutting the morning newscast off the air.

Madill police say the semi was overweight and the trailer breaks were not working.

The driver, Jeffrey Black of Pennsylvania, was cited for operating a motor vehicle in a manner not reasonable or proper.

Police say an investigation is still ongoing, and the driver could face additional charges.
