Madill teen hit by vehicle on U.S. Highway 70

A Marshall County teen was hit by a vehicle on US Highway 70 Friday morning.

Police tell us the 17-year-old Madill High School student was walking along the highway near Oklahoma Steel and Wire around 7:15 when he stepped out in front of a moving vehicle.

He was airlifted to a trauma center in Plano, Texas.

Officers aren't yet sure what all injuries the boy has, but say he suffered at least a broken leg.

Police say the driver who hit the teen stayed on scene to help.

The boy’s name has not been released.
