POTTSBORO, Tex. (KXII) -- A Grayson County man has been indicted for a crash that left eight people hurt last summer.
24-year-old Matthew Solak is charged with six counts of intoxication assault and seven counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say in June of 2017, Solak crossed the center line of FM 120, hitting an oncoming van.
He was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
Two women and five kids were in the van and were all taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Police say Solak was under the influence of a controlled substance or dangerous drug.
Reports show Solak's uncle told police Solak was prescribed Xanax and was known to abuse it.
