GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) - A Grayson County judge has sentenced a Denison man to fifty years behind bars for child sex crimes.
25-year-old Don Dodson pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Prosecutors say Dodson molested and raped his two close female relatives for several years.
Court documents say the abuse happened over a decade ago, but it was not officially reported until 2017.
One victim and her mother took the stand and said Dodson used physical force against them when they threatened to report him.
Assistant District Attorney Matt Rolston said the judge sent a strong message about how Grayson County tolerates these kinds of crimes.
"There is no tolerance for those who would molest a child, and take advantage of the trust that we put (on them.)" Rolston said.
