MADILL, Okla. (KXII) - A man suspected of fatally shooting another man at his Madill home was arrested Tuesday morning.
Police make an arrest in a fatal overnight shooting in Madill, Okla. Monday morning (KXII).
Madill Police say it happened in the 100 block of East Wolf Street around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, where they found Robert Jordan, 36, laying in a bed with a single gunshot wound. Jordan, who was renting the home where the shooting occurred, died while being taken to the hospital.
The suspect, Harold Andrew MacNeil, 38, was not at the scene when police arrived. Police say they got a tip of his possible location around 7:30 a.m. An hour later they located MacNeil at a trailer home north of Madill near Carter Lake, where after about an hour-long standoff he was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail charged with first degree murder.
Police have not give a possible motive behind the shooting. However authorities did say they believe Jordan and MacNeil were acquaintances, believed to have been friends.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called to process the scene of the shooting.
