SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - McDonald's locations in North Texas will be giving away free breakfast Tuesday to those taking the STAAR test.

Tuesday morning from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. students in 3rd through 8th grade will be able to receive a free breakfast from McDonald's.
Teachers will also be able to receive a free breakfast with proof of a valid school identification card.

The company says the offer is only available to those who go inside the restaurant to order.

The offer gives students and teachers the choice of an Egg White Delight McMuffin Sandwich or fruit and maple oatmeal, apple slices and their choice milk or apple juice.

The STAAR Free Breakfast program gave 20,700 breakfasts to students and teachers in 2018.
