The wait is over. The Buc-ee's in Melissa officially opened at 6 a.m. Monday morning, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.

Now Texomans can load up on all the beef jerky and beaver nuggets they want a little closer to home.

The massive new convenience store and gas station is located at 1550 Central Expressway, right off of U.S. Highway 75 in Melissa.

Noel Eaton's weekend keeps getting better and better.

"Well first off, Avengers came out, awesome. Game of Thrones is here, and now Buc-ee's is here. What could be better?" said Eaton.

As exciting as the new Buc-ee's may be, Lindsey and Eric Wright will share a special moment there soon.

"We're actually getting ready to adopt two little girls, and they visited Dallas over spring break, but they are obsessed with Buc-ee's. They're coming to us tomorrow, they're going to be placed with us tomorrow," said Lindsey Wright.

"So we're coming back for sure," said Eric Wright.

The location is over 50,000 square feet of space and features everything you know and love from the other 35 Buc-ee's locations.

The Melissa Buc-ee's created over 200 jobs, and a representative from the store says they are still hiring.

Starting pay is $13 an hour.
