Men facing multiple drug, firearm charges after DUI arrest in Marshall County
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office arrested two men on several charges Thursday evening after being called about a reckless driver.
Deputies say they were called to the Oakland area around 7 p.m. about a reckless driver headed toward Madill from Ardmore.
They found the car at the Oakland Grocery Store and quickly realized the driver, Douglas Turcios, was under the influence of an intoxicating substance. Deputies located the passenger, Arthur Williamson, inside the store. They said Williamson was also under the influence.
Deputies say when they were leading Williamson out of the store, he dropped a 9mm pistol stolen from Ardmore.
A search of the car found a second firearm, several containers of prescription marijuana, a large bag of marijuana, a container with more than 50 tablets of ecstasy, digital scales and Ziploc bags.
Turcios was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, possession of marijuana without a prescription and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
Williamson was arrested for being in possession of a firearm, possessing a firearm after a former felony conviction, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possessing a firearm while under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
