(KXII) Mercy Hospital has announced it will be postponing certain surgeries and services to prepare employees for a possible increase in patients due to COVID-19.
The hospital posted to its website that, beginning Monday, it will be postponing elective, non-urgent surgical procedures.
The hospital defines such surgeries as "those that can be rescheduled to a future time and will not significantly impact the patient's health."
The hospital says it will also be postponing the following scheduled cases:
· Screening Mammography
· CT Lung Cancer Screening
· Non-urgent CT
· Non-urgent MRI
· Plain film X-ray Exams
· All other non-emergent or elective Radiologic and Imaging Guidance Exams or Procedures
Mercy says it will contact patients as their cases become eligible for postponement.
Mercy has locations in Ada, Ardmore and Tishomingo.
