CARTER COUNTY, Tex. (KXII) - The Carter County Health Department and Chickasaw Nation hosted their last drive-through flu clinic of the year Friday.
The health department says it started at 9 a.m., with about 500 vaccinations given out by noon.
"There are hundreds of thousands of flu cases every year. Some people cannot have the flu vaccine. People who do receive the flu vaccine, it's easier for them to protect themselves and other people that cannot receive it," said Syndi Brooks with the Carter County Health Department.
The clinic ended around 3:30 p.m. after the department ran out of vaccines.
