Mother arrested for DUI, child endangerment

ATOKA, Okla. (KXII) - An Atoka woman was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs while her baby was in the car.

Police made a traffic stop for reckless driving where they found 26-year-old Ashley Gaylor's 3-month-old baby in the front seat.

Gaylor told police the child was in the front because she was crying.

Police say she admitted she had taken an opiod, Lortab, prior to driving.

Gaylor had previously been arrested in 2017 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

If convicted, Gaylor could face up to nine years in prison.
