Motorcyclist dead after colliding with cow

PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - A motorcyclist is dead after hitting a cow on a Pontotoc County highway early Wednesday morning.

Troopers say 38-year-old James Wilson of Ada was killed after colliding with an animal.

Troopers say Wilson was driving eastbound on State Highway 19 near County Road 3450 around 1:40 a.m. when he struck an 800-pound black cow.

Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown if he was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
