SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - Eternity Technologies is opening its first battery cell assembly facility in Sherman.

The company is based out of the United Arab Emirates and is investing $3.8 million to start the company in an existing Sherman building.

The Sherman Economic Development Corporation says they approved a $190.000 incentive offer to Eternity Technologies on August 13.

President Kent Sharp says they chose Sherman for a few reasons.

"Any town who has a building is that much further ahead of their competition and I think that's what helped us. Plus, our location, Sherman is ideally located," said Sharp.

Sharp says it will create at least 46 jobs in Sherman.

Applications will be put out once things are finalized.
