DENISON, Tex. (KXII) - Two more emergency sirens were added around Denison and they have different features than others around town.
The new sirens were added at Texoma Health Foundation Park and Denison High School.
Pre-recorded voice messages can be sent through the speakers to warn people in the area about potential dangers.
Denison Emergency Management Coordinator Morgan Metcalf says the city picked the locations because of the number of people who visit those areas.
"We have a lot of people gathering, especially at THF Park, and always on the high school campus. And we wanted to communicate a little bit more clearly with what the particular emergency was," said Metcalf.
There are three other sirens in Denison at Forest, Munson and Waterloo Lake Parks.
