CALERA, OKLA. (KXII) - A seven-vehicle crash shut down Highway 69/75 in Calera this afternoon and left nine people injured.
First responders say around 3 p.m., an 18 wheeler rear-ended a blue truck that was stopped at the intersection of North McKinley Ave. and Hwy. 75.
The crash caused a chain-reaction with the truck pushing into several other vehicles also stopped at the traffic light.
Nine people were hurt, including two who were flown to the hospital with critical injuries. Two were treated and released at the scene and the other five were transported by ambulance to local hospitals.
The highway was shut down for more than an hour but has reopened.
Officials are investigating what caused that crash.
