OSBI identifies man arrested after fatal officer-involved shooting in Ada

ADA, Okla. (KXII) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has released the name of the man arrested after an officer-involved shooting in Ada Tuesday left another suspect dead.

Chase Alan Wallace, 36, of Atwood, Oklahoma was arrested on a warrant from the city of Ada.

Kristina Thompson, 49, was arrested as well when officers tried to serve felony warrants before shots broke out.

Court records show Thompson is charged with possession of forged notes.

Thompson's husband, Thomas Cole Thompson, shot at officers Tuesday morning before they fired back and killed him.

Police say officer Matthew Mericle was hit one time in his protective vest and later released from the hospital.

Mericle and another officer have been put on administrative leave.

The shooting remains under investigation.
