CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says they are investigating a member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for official misconduct.

Spokeswoman Jessica Brown says on November 29th, the Carter County Sheriff's Office requested the investigation, which she says is still in the early phases.

A spokesperson with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a search warrant was executed at a Trooper's home, but what was found, if anything, has not been released by O.S.B.I.

They say the trooper, who is part of Troop F based in Ardmore, has been placed on paid leave, and it is likely they will conduct an internal investigation after the criminal investigation.
