Okla. Health Department confirms West Nile case in Murray County

SULPHUR, Okla. (KXII) -- The Oklahoma State Department of Health confirms one human case of West Nile virus in Murray County.

The Health Department is urging people to take necessary safety precautions like wearing mosquito repellent containing DEET, staying indoors around dusk and dawn.

Residents are urged to get rid of standing water around their homes.

Murray county will make the decision about whether to spray for mosquitoes.
