Oklahoma Governor signs bill banning vaping in schools

OKLAHOMA CITY (KXII) - Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed a senate bill Monday that would ban vaping on school grounds.

The bill, introduced in February, comes as an amendment to the 24/7 Tobacco-free Schools Act enacted in 2015 which required schools to be completely tobacco free.

The amendment will add vapor products to the list of tobacco products banned from educational facilities and events.

The amendment will go into effect July 1.
