Oklahoma flu deaths reach 51

(KXII) - The number of flu-related deaths in Oklahoma this season is now at 51.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported nearly half of the deaths have been in northeastern Oklahoma with 15 deaths.

The department reports more than 2,000 people hospitalized with the flu since the start of the season on Sept. 1.

Pontotoc County has the highest number of hospitalizations in Texoma with 23, followed by Bryan County with 20 and Garvin County with 18.
