POTTSBORO, Tex. - One of the most popular coaches in Texoma left us on Sunday morning. Bart Williams, a long time baseball and football coach at Pottsboro, ended his battle with cancer, but not before leaving a lasting legacy on coaches, athletes and a community.

Williams passed away on Sunday at the age of 47. He surpassed the 300 wins total last season at Pottsboro.

On the the field, Bart Williams was a fighter. He led the Cardinals to many successful seasons and won over 300 games. That fight did not stop on the baseball field, it showed up in life too. Anyone that saw how he handled what he was going through, couldn't help but be inspired to do more themselves.
