The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting Thursday to share its plans for the U.S. Highway 75 project in Grayson County.
The meeting will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Sherman Municipal Ballroom at 408 N. Rusk St.
The project would cover U.S. 75 from the intersection of FM 1417 to FM 120. TxDOT officials say project is designed to improve safety along the 12.7 mile stretch of highway.
The proposed improvements include renovating the US 75 and US 82 intersections and improvements at North Travis St and Loy Lake Rd. Access ramps and bridges would be reconstructed as necessary.
The proposal also includes the addition of main traffic lanes, continuous frontage roads and U-turns.
