Pushmataha Co. inmate hospitalized after fall into creek

A Pushmataha County inmate has been hospitalized after falling into a creek Wednesday morning.

HUGO, Okla. (KXII) - A Pushmataha County inmate was flown to a hospital Wednesday morning after falling 15 feet.

Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park says the man was part of a trash crew working near a creek south of Hugo on U.S. Highway 271.

Park says the inmate slid down 15 feet into an embankment into a culvert.

The inmate was flown to a hospital with back injuries. He was released a few hours later in good condition with no serious injuries.
