A Texoma Congressman is among several candidates to replace Jeff Sessions as the next United States attorney general, according to an NBC News report.
Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) is being considered by President Donald Trump for the job as the nation's top lawyer, according to the report.
Also among those being considered are retiring Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
Ratcliffe, a former federal prosecutor, was just re-elected to a third two-year term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Texas' Fourth Congressional District includes the northeast corner of the states including Grayson, Fannin and Lamar counties.
