Santa's mailbox is back on Main St. for the holiday season
Santa's mailbox is a Main Street tradition in Denison. Marcus Hubbard says his father built the mailbox years ago -- the same one in use today.
"We had it out there about...60 years! Dennis had it 2 or 3 here, and I gave it to him so the kids would have something to stick their letters in," said Hubbard.
"We're glad Dennis took it over because I had no place to put it and I closed my store three years ago. Dennis is the keeper of the mailbox now," he said.
It was rolled out Wednesday afternoon. Young students from St. Luke's stopped by to drop off Santa's first letters for the season, and were greeted by someone very special: Santa himself.
3-year-old, Dakota knew exactly what to ask Santa. "Yeah...I want a blue bike," she said.
"I asked for another Giant Hatchimal Egg and my roller skates," shared 6-year-old Everleigh.
All the good girls and boys in Texoma can bring their letters to Santa's mailbox. You can find it outside Nietling Family Eye Care on Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. up until the week of Christmas.
