Search crews find missing woman's body after fatal Sherman crash

SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - Search crews found an Arkansas woman's body Sunday after she and her husband were killed in a crash in Sherman.

Sherman police got a call around 11 a.m. Saturday about a crashed car in the culvert of North Highway 75 near Washington Street.

Police say around 7 Saturday morning they responded to a welfare check for two people traveling from Fayetteville, Arkansas to McKinney, but never made it.

Evan and Sarah Nuessner

Newlyweds Evan and Sarah Nuessner were last known to be driving through Sherman late Friday around midnight.

Police found Evan dead inside the car, but Sarah was missing.

Police conducted a large scale recovery effort Saturday and Sunday to find her.

Sarah's body was found Sunday around 11 a.m. Sunday in Post Oak Creek, several miles downstream from the location of the crash.
