Sherman apartment building destroyed in fire

SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) -- The fire started at the Post Oak Crossing apartment complex off 1417 just before 5 p.m.

Around 7 p.m., Sherman Fire and Rescue called in all available personnel to work the fire. Denison, Whitewright and Pottsboro Fire Departments responded.

We're told all in all 50 firefighters were on scene. They were able to put out the fire around 8 p.m.

The fire destroyed Building 9 at the complex. People in eight apartment units were placed.

Firefighters say no people were reported injured, but they did give oxygen to a cat suffering from smoke inhalation.

Red Cross and the Salvation Army were also on the scene.

Donations are now being accepted for the 7 families who lost their belongings.

NEW Mens underwear medium thru large
NEW Women's underwear size 5 thru 10
Car seats for 2 year old girls
Car seat for 4 month old girl
