Sherman man sentenced for attacking officers in jail
SHERMAN, Texas -- A Sherman man admitted to attacking officers while in the Grayson County jail but his family says he is the victim.
21-year-old Isaiah Patterson was booked in jail in June after violating his probation for leaving the scene of an accident in 2014.
Prosecutors say Patterson was caught on camera punching a jailer, wrestling a Taser away from an officer and using it on two of them.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of assaulting an officer and one count of taking a weapon from an officer on Wednesday.
Patterson's family was outside the Justice Center protesting his sentence of seven years probation.
